Ramon Revilla Sr. taken off ventilator as he breathes on his own, says son Bong
Former actor and senator Ramon Revilla Sr. is finally off the ventilator, more than a week after he was hospitalized due to difficulty in breathing, according to his son Senator Bong Revilla on Thursday.
"Tinanggal na po ang ventilator ni Daddy! He is breathing on his own," Bong said in a Facebook post.
"Thank you for all the prayers! Patuloy po nating ipanalangin na makauwi na po siya," he added.
The 93-year-old Revilla patriarch was spared from angioplasty after his test results showed that he doesn't have a heart problem on Wednesday.
He was brought to St. Luke's Medical Center-Global City and was put on a ventilator after experiencing difficulty in breathing on May 31.
His condition stabilized the following day, according to his grandson, Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla. -MDM, GMA News
