PHL breaks Guinness World Record with 2,100 participants in nativity scene

The Philippines on Friday broke the Guinness World Record for the most living figures in a nativity scene, according to a report by Lhar Santiago on GMA News' 24 Oras.

Previously held by the United Kingdom with 1,100 participants, residents of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan snatched the record with 2,100 participants.

"I don't think there is any doubt, you have broken the record, and this is a new Guinness world's record title," a Guinness World Record adjudicator said.

The event started with music from the choir and the orchestra, followed by the entrance of Mary, Joseph, the wise men, and the shepherds. 

Acting at the nativity scene, a depiction of the birth of Christ, were Bulacan Board member Alex Castro, who played Joseph, and his wife, Sexbomb dancer Sunshine Garcia, who played Mary. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
