Lilia Pineda to Sandra Cam: Huwag kang mag-akusa kung wala kang ebidensiya

Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda on Thursday dared Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board member Sandra Cam to show proof that her husband, businessman Bong Pineda, is involved in the illegal numbers game jueteng.

"Huwag kang mag-akusa kung wala kang mga ebidensiya," Pineda said in a report by GMA News' JP Soriano on 24 Oras.

Pineda was reacting to Cam's testimony during a Senate hearing on Wednesday that Mr. Pineda is in cahoots with PCSO General Manager Alexander Balutan in using Small Town Lottery (STL) operations as a cover for jueteng.

"Ang sinasabi ko nga, madaling mag-akusa, pero totoo ba 'yun? Kung may mga difference sila, personal, huwag naman sila magsama ng ibang tao," Pineda said, referring to Cam's rift with Balutan and other PCSO officials.

She also denied that they are close with Balutan, saying their only contact with PCSO is the financial assistance it is giving to the province.

Denying that STL operations are being used to cover jueteng, Pineda said Cam should've talked with them first before coming up with her accusation.

"Babae siya, makukuha naman 'yan sa harap-harapan na pag-sit down lang," she said. "Pero huwag ka munang magturo, mag-akusa ng tao."

It was not the first time the Pineda couple was linked to jueteng, as they had been invited several times to congressional hearings on the illegal but popular numbers game.

Cam has yet to comment on Pineda's statement. —KBK, GMA News
