‘Is he gay?’ Lawyer slams Trillanes’ request for Paolo Duterte to show back tattoo
The lawyer of Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte slammed Senator Antonio Trillanes IV for asking his client to expose his back and show a supposed tattoo that will prove his membership to the drug triad.
In an interview after the Senate blue ribbon committee hearing Thursday on the P6.4-billion shabu shipment, lawyer Rainier Madrid said Trillanes failed to show his supposed “explosive” evidence that would link the vice mayor to the smuggling of shipments, including illegal drugs.
“I thought it will be explosive? Where are they?...You only presented the body. The body of ano — is he gay? If he’s gay, probably, if he said that to me, ‘I want to see yours,’ then I would have probably showed it myself,” Madrid said.
Asked whether he had seen the vice mayor’s alleged tattoo, Madrid told reporters: “I have not seen it because I’m not gay.”
“If I am, I would have insisted, I’m sorry...If Senator Trillanes said na may pagka-gay siya siguro, I would have changed my mind,” he said.

Madrid said he advised his client not to accede to Trillanes’ request, saying the senator was merely playing a “propaganda” game.
“Gusto mo sabihin uto-uto kami? I will never play his game. His game is propaganda,” the lawyer said.
During the hearing, Trillanes claimed that Paolo Duterte may be part of a triad, citing information from a “foreign country.”
He said the triad operates in countries such as China, Hong Kong, and Macau, and is engaged in various illegal activities, including the importation of illegal drugs.
According to Trillanes, the membership of Duterte in a triad could be proven by a colored, dragon-like tattoo on his back.
While Duterte admitted that he had a tattoo on his back, he did not answer any questions regarding its appearance as he invoked his right to privacy.
