NAPOLCOM leads observance of National Crime Prevention Week
The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) on Thursday led the kickoff ceremony at the Quezon Memorial Circle for the 22nd National Crime Prevention Week, a report on Unang Balita said.
This year's theme is "Hawak Kamay Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran."

Present during the ceremony were Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary and NAPOLCOM Chairman Ismael Sueno, Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa, and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, GMA News' Victoria Tulad reported.
The celebration aims to form a collaborative partnership between the government and the community through community and service-oriented policing system.
Also at the ceremony on Thursday were officials of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Dangerous Drugs Board, Philippine Information Agency, Philippine Public Safety College, various barangays in Quezon City, and some non-government organizations.
This year's observance of National Crime Prevention Week will also include the announcement of the 2016 Model PNP Families, which will be held on Sept. 8.
The NAPOLCOM said the award aims to honor families of policemen who have shown community leadership. —KG, GMA News
