Bobadilla's family filed a complaint before the Makati Police Station against two doctors from Contours Advanced Face and Body Sculpting Institute.
The doctors were identified as Dr. Claudine Roura and anesthesiologist Dr. Katrina Bulseco.
In a phone interview, Contours legal counsel Roel Pulido told GMA News Online that his clients were "illegally" arrested last July 5 but were released on the same day.
Pulido also said they will be withholding comment until the police officially file the complaint.
Based on information from Police Major Gideon Ines, Jr. of the Makati Police, Bobadilla, a resident of Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, underwent liposuction at the Contours clinic last July 3.
She was later brought to the Parañaque Doctors' Hospital reportedly due to complications during the procedure.
Bobadilla became comatose and was confined at the hospital's intensive care unit, but she died on July 6.
The police, who are expected to file complaints for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide against the doctors, were still waiting for the autopsy results as of Wednesday.
Police said the victim's family has spoken to the two doctors who have expressed willingness to cooperate in the investigation. — KG, GMA News
