Fire hits Pasig City building
A fire hit the sixth floor of the Verizon building in Barangay Ugong in Pasig City early Saturday morning, reported Luisito Santos on Super Radyo's dzBB.

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) officials raised the fire to fifth alarm, which started in the sixth floor, particularly in a storage area of garments.
A man was trapped inside the elevator when the fire hit. As of 2:44am, BFP personnel were still unable to rescue him.

Two firemen were given medical attention, no one else were reported injured in the ongoing fire.
Around 6:30 a.m., the fire was put under control while BFP personnel were also able to rescue the man trapped inside the elevator. He was identified as Jovil Ong in a report by GMA News' Bam Alegre.
