Netizen saves 20-, 10-peso coins for a year, accumulates up to P8,000
A netizen who decided to keep all "barya na may barya sa gitna" that he received in one year was able to save up to 8,000 pesos, according to "Good Night Vibes" report on "Saksi."
This means that Kristoffer Mendoza saved only new generation coins or bi-metallic 20-peso and 10-peso coins.
The 20-peso coins are bi-metallic with a bronze-plated steel outer ring and a nickel-plated steel center and slightly larger than the 10-peso coins, which are nickel-plated, reeded with edge lettering with the dual profiles of Andrés Bonifacio and Apolinario Mabini on obverse and the 1993 logo of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on the reverse.
Kristoffer was able to save about P8,000 for a year or equivalent to twenty pesos a day. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
