Toyota 'Tamaraw' returns to PH roads

Toyota Motor Philippines has released details of the new generation Tamaraw, which will come in different variants. 

"This 2024, a true road icon returns to once again champion mobility for all Filipinos," said Masando Hashimoto, president of Toyota Motor Philippines.

"It is our honor to introduce the Next Generation Tamaraw. A tough and reliable companion that changed the lives of many, the Tamaraw will once again be enabling Filipinos to triumph over the challenges of today," Hashimoto added. 

The new Tamaraw will come in different variants that can cater to various driving needs, both for work and leisure. Toyota says it has a re-engineered IMV platform, a simple block-like design that is "easy to convert and use," and is also a breeze to maintain.

"Anumang porma o anyo, makasisiguro kang mabusisi itong dinevelop para may lakas, tibay, at diskarte na bagay na katuwang sa buhay at negosyo," said Toyota.

 Here are the for the upcoming Tamaraw line that is set to be released in the coming months. 

Tamaraw Dropside HI

Toyota Motor Philippines described the Tamaraw Dropside HI as "the perfect answer to  transport needs, especially if you are in business like merchandising, construction."

It features a 1,100 kgs payload capacity with a 2GD-FTV engine automatic transmission. 
 

Tamaraw Utility Van LWB

This variant is for "retail and e-commerce drivers looking for fast and easy delivery solutions." It has a payload capacity of 885 kgs with a bench-type seat that fits 12 people. 

Tamaraw Utility Van SWB

The SWB is more of a "pickup and delivery" variant that fits logistics businesses. It has an E1TR-FE engine that has a seating capacity of 10 people on a foldable bench at the back that also has a rear air-conditioning system.

Tamaraw Aluminum Van

For bigger cargoes and other business needs, the Tamaraw also comes with this variant that has 1,015 kgs payload capacity with an aluminum interior and exterior. It has a dimension of 5,305 mm x 1,795 mm x 2,097 mm (L x W x H).

Tamaraw Dropside

The new Tamaraw also has a variant that fits construction, farming, or landscaping needs. It has a convenient side and back panel that opens for "easy loading and unloading" of heavy items and is capable of carrying 1,100 kgs payload.
