Chery unveils fully electric compact SUV 'eQ7'

Chery Auto Philippines is set to launch a line-up of new vehicles in the country.

The company said the three soon-to-be-launched vehicles include "Tiggo 7 Pro" Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), the seven-seater SUV "Tiggo 8 Pro" PHEV, and the full electric vehicle called "eQ7".

The eQ7 is a fully electric compact SUV with an all-aluminum body structure. 

Chery Auto said the fully electric vehicle has a driving range of more than 500 kilometers.   

It added that its "dual armor protection" creates the safest battery in its class.

The eQ7’s L2+ semi-autonomous driving system also includes a complete and multi-scenario Advance Driver Assistance system which will make the drive easier and safer. 

The vehicle is also equipped with a driver monitoring system to monitor the state of the driver in real time providing safety and protection, especially on long distance driving.   

Meanwhile, the Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV and Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV are powered by an internal combustion engine with two electric motors equipped with a 19.27-kilowatt-hour ternary lithium battery.

The company said the vehicles have a "good balance between electric vehicle (EV) mode for short trips and gasoline or hybrid modes for long distance travels." 

The Tiggo 8 Pro can go  from 0-100km in 7.6 seconds, according to Cherry Auto. It also said that it has a Max input torque of 510N·m with a "Pure electric range of 75km."
