Uber says 14k daily commuters won't be able to get a ride
By JON VIKTOR D. CABUENAS, GMA News
An estimated 14,000 commuters will not be able to book a ride daily as the supply of transport network service vehicles has been undermined since the government has suspended the activation of new drivers, Uber Systems Inc. said Tuesday.
Demand is rising in the face of decreasing supply of vehicles, as the Land Transportation and Franchising Board (LTFRB) ordered Transport Network Companies (TNCs) to stop activating new drivers, Uber Systems Philippines General Manager Laurence Cua said in a briefing in Makati City.
"About 14,000 riders will not be able to get a car every work day," Cua noted. — VDS, GMA News
