DTI: Prices of 102 Noche Buena items up
The prices of over 100 Noche Buena items have increased from last year, according to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Sunday.
Based on its Noche Buena Price Guide, buying 102 of the 236 stock keeping units will now cost more as compared to last year.
Meanwhile, 121 Noche Buena items have sustained their prices, while 13 product lines have seen price reductions.
The latest price guide covers 12 categories: ham, queso de bola, fruit cocktail, cheese, mayonnaise, all-purpose cream, sandwich spread, pasta/spaghetti, elbow macaroni, tomato sauce, salad macaroni, and spaghetti sauce.
The price guide is effective until Dec. 31, 2024 according to the DTI.
“By publishing this price guide, the DTI urges consumers to compare prices and select products that best fit their budget and preferences for the holiday season,” DTI Secretary Cristina Roque said in a statement shared to media.
The following are the price ranges for the Noche Buena items:
- Ham: P170.00 to P928.50
- Queso de bola: P210.00 to P445.00
- Fruit cocktail: 61.76 to P302.50
- Cheese: P56.50 to P310.00
- Mayonnaise: P20.40 to P245.85
- All-purpose cream: P36.50 to P72.00
- Sandwich spread: P27.00 to P263.60
- Pasta/spaghetti: P32.00 to P14.00
- Elbow macaroni: P30.50 to P126.25
- Tomato sauce: P16.50 to P92.85
- Salad macaroni: P36.50 to P126.25
- Spaghetti sauce: P28.50 to P103.00
