Energy sector party-lists APEC, PhilReca file CONAs for Eleksyon 2025

Two party-lists representing energy sector stakeholders are seeking reelection in the May 2025 elections. 

The Association of Power Electric Cooperatives (APEC) and Philippine Resilient Electric Consumers (PhilReca) on Monday formalized their reelection bids as they lodged their certificates of nomination and acceptance (CONAs) before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) at the Manila Hotel Tent City. 

Once elected, the party-lists said they would push for the lowering of electricity rates and address the lack of power supply in far-flung areas. 

Other party-list groups that filed their candidacies were Ako-OFW party-list, which advocates for the rights and welfare of Filipino migrant workers and Partido Maharlika, which vowed to advance poverty alleviation programs in Congress. — BM, GMA Integrated News
