PhilHealth vows to remove single period of confinement policy
The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) has committed to do away with its single period of confinement policy.
Asked by Sen. Bong Go when PhilHealth would stop the policy, PhilHealth president Emmanuel Ledesma Jr. said it would do so before the end of September.

In a hearing held jointly with the Senate Committee on Finance, the PhilHealth official said case rate benefits would be increased for members before the end of November.
Under the single period of confinement policy, PhilHealth would only cover for one time the admission or readmission in the hospital of a member if he or she would get sick or have a similar procedure in a period of three months. —NB, GMA Integrated News
