Marcos meets head of Emirates Nuclear Energy Corp.


Emirates' chairman of nuclear corporation meets Marcos 

The chairman of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) paid a courtesy call on President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Monday. 

Marcos met ENEC chairman H.E. Mohamed Al Hammadi at the Malacañang Palace past 2 in the afternoon. The Presidential Communications Office has not yet released any information about the meeting.

According to its website, the ENEC was mandated by the UAE Government to deliver the UAE Peaceful Nuclear Energy Program and develop the cornerstone of the UAE Program; the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, which is the first nuclear new build project in the Arab World.

It has been working with several local, regional, and international stakeholders to deliver the goals for developing peaceful nuclear energy for the UAE.

Earlier in the day, Marcos presided over the 8th Philippine Space Council meeting where he was briefed on his previous directive about the development and utilization of space science and technology in the country.

A replica of the Multilateral Unit for Land Assessment satellite and the Pandora instruments used for air quality measurement was presented to Marcos. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
