NAIA-3 aircon shut down for 12 hours for new cooling towers

NAIA Terminal 3 aircon shut down for new cooling towers

Air conditioning at the NAIA Terminal 3 was shut off at 9 p.m. on Tuesday night and won't be operational until 12 hours later at 9 a.m.

According to EJ Gomez's report on "State of the Nation," the shutdown was to give way to the installation of new cooling towers at the terminal.

The old cooling towers have not been replaced since Terminal 3 started partial operations in 2008.

The Manila International Airport Authority expects 27,000 passengers to be affected by the aircon shutdown.

MIAA general manager Eric Jose Ines has asked for understanding for the inconvenience caused by the cooling tower installation.  —NB, GMA Integrated News
