Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices up Tuesday
Motorists will have to pay more for fuel products this week, as firms are set to hike pump prices to mark the second straight week of increases for both diesel and kerosene.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex) and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will increase prices per liter of both gasoline and diesel by P0.40, and kerosene by P0.30.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel, which will adjust prices at 4:01 p.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
Firms last week rolled back prices of liter of gasoline by P0.10, while hiking those of diesel by P0.25, and kerosene by P0.30.
This brought year-to-date adjustments to a net increase of P7.15 per liter for gasoline and P4.45 per liter for diesel, and a net decrease of P1.35 per liter for kerosene as of May 21, 2024. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
