Taguig extends payment deadline for business renewals until Jan. 31
The Taguig City government has extended the deadline for payments of business permit renewals until January 31, 2023, allowing business owners to pay their taxes and fees without a penalty.
It was signed under Ordinance No. 17 of 2023 after the City Council noted the increase of businesses renewing permits this year.
However, business owners must file their papers for evaluation and assessment of business tax and regulatory fees by January 20.
“All submissions for evaluation and tenders of payment made between
January 20 to January 31 shall not incur penalties or interest. All
billing statements issued from the beginning of the year will remain
valid until January 31,” it said.
The city government added that all unpaid bills within the extended deadline would automatically be canceled and rebilled to reflect statutory penalties and interests.
It also urged business owners to take advantage of the extension.—Sherylin Untalan/LDF, GMA Integrated News
