Pump prices down for second straight week Tuesday

Pump prices will be rolled back anew on Tuesday, marking the second straight week of cuts.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will reduce prices per liter of gasoline by P0.25, diesel by P0.60, and kerosene by P0.25.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., and PTT Philippines Corp.will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which it does not carry.

The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, except for Caltex, which will adjust prices at 12:01 a.m. and Petron at 6 a.m. the same day.

This is the second straight week of rollbacks, after firms last week cut down the price per liter of gasoline by P0.35, diesel by P1.10, and kerosene by P0.45.

Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) indicate that year-to-date adjustments stood at a net increase of P16.10 per liter for gasoline, P37.40 per liter for diesel, and P29.20 per liter for kerosene as of October 25, 2022. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/KBK, GMA News
