LTFRB opens application for 7,870 TNVS units


The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Saturday opened the application for almost 8,000 units of Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) to augment the supply of public transportation.

In a statement, the LTFRB said it issued Board Resolution No. 065 s. 2022, wherein 7,870 units will be accepted to serve the commuting public as TNVS for accredited Transport Network Companies (TNCs).

From the total 7,870 slots to be opened for application, 7,000 will be for the National Capital Region (NCR), 220 for Region III, 500 for Region V, and 150 for Region VI.

The slots are on a first come, first serve basis.

Interested applicants need to fill out a registration form on the LTFRB’s online system, wherein they will be given a reference number and email confirmation regarding the time and date when they can personally file their applications at the LTFRB’s Central Office.

Applicants need to secure the following documents:

  • four copies of verified application (template can be accessed at www.ltfrb.gov.ph); 
  • photocopy of official receipt and certificate of registration (OR/CR) (If the unit is on mortgage, the LTFRB will accept applicants with Certificate of Conformity); and
  • proof of Filipino citizenship such as birth certificate, passport, voter’s ID, or any government issued identification card.


Meanwhile, the Formal Offer of Evidence should be submitted by an applicant five days prior to a scheduled hearing together with the following documents:

  • Proof of existence of garage;
  • Proof of financial capability;
  • 5R photograph of each unit to be applied as TNVS;
  • DTI business name registration;
  • BIR Certificate of Registration to join Transport Service or proof of filing;
  • Certificate of Accreditation from accredited Transport Network Company (TNC);
  • NBI and police clearance of authorized driver;
  • Proof of publication: i) affidavit of publication, ii) copies of publication, and iii) affidavit of attestation
