Improved Bohol ports will bring economic growth –Duterte

President Rodrigo Duterte said Friday that the seven new improved ports in Bohol province will bring economic growth to the province amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"These ports will allow Bohol to accommodate more people and goods from neighboring provinces and contribute much to the province’s recovery from the pandemic," Duterte said during the inauguration of refurbished ports.

"I am also confident that these ports will strengthen the capacity of Bohol as a catalyst of economic growth in Central Visayas," he added.

The President then commended the Transportation Department and the Philippine Ports Authority for the projects' completion under the Build, Build, Build program.

"All these developments support the administration’s mission to provide our people with improved mobility as well as a comfortable, productive, and dignified life for every Filipino," Duterte said. — DVM, GMA News
