Solane, Phoenix to hike LPG prices on Nov. 1

Solane and Phoenix LPG on Saturday announced it will hike the prices of its liquefied petroleum gas products, effective next month.

In an advisory, Solane said it will increase its household LPG price by P2.84 per kilogram. This is equivalent to an increase of P31.24 in the price of a typical 11-kilogram LPG tank.

Solane’s price adjustment will take effect 6 a.m. on November 1.

Phoenix LPG, meanwhile, said it will hike LPG prices by P3.20 per kilogram. This translates to an increment of P35.2 in the price of an 11-kilogram household LPG cylinder.

Phoenix LPG’s price adjustment will take effect 12:01 a.m. on Sunday.

Petron Corp. earlier announced a P3.20 per kilogram price hike in its household LPG and P1.79 per liter hike in AutoLPG, effective 12:10 a.m. on November 1.  

Data from the Department of Energy showed the price of an 11-kilogram LPG tank costs between P571 and P731. —LBG, GMA News
