CAAP: 23 airports get LGU clearance to resume commercial flights


The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Saturday released the list of airports that have secured the greenlight from their respective local government units (LGUs) to resume commercial operations.

In an advisory, the CAAP said that as of June 26, 2020 there were 23 airports in the country whose LGUs have issued orders “categorically supporting the resumption of commercial airport operations in their areas of jurisdiction.”

This as some airports, while allowing the resumption of commercial flights, are subject to different documentary and passenger LGU restrictions, it said.

Meanwhile, 10 airports are set to start accepting commercial flights on later dates.
