Duterte wants current OIC Macasaet to become new GSIS president

President Rodrigo Duterte has nominated Rolando Macasaet as president and general manager of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), a Malacañang official said Tuesday.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said in a text message that Duterte recently approved the nomination of Macasaet, who has been serving as officer-in-charge of the state pension fund since July last year following the resignation of former GSIS chief Jesus Clint Aranas.

Macasaet had previously held positions in other government-owned and controlled corporations. — BM, GMA News
