Buy candles, bottled water for Undas from stores — DTI

Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez on Tuesday advised consumers preparing for All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day to buy bottled water and candles from supermarkets and big grocery stores.

"Kasi doon, naka-SRP [suggested retail price]," Lopez told reporters in a forum.

He said prices of candles and bottled water are normally higher in cemeteries and bus terminals, where they are not covered by SRP.

“Pag nandoon ka na sa mga lugar kung saan nangyayari like sa sementeryo, bus terminal, hindi na ho kino-control kasi 'yan,” Lopez explained.

“Yung bus terminal can do an SRP. I mean, 'yung kanya-kanyang lugar. They can impose kasi private establishment,” he added. — BM, GMA News
