Victor Lim to take over as FFCCCII president

The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) on Monday announced the election of VECO Paper Corp. president and chief executive officer Victor Lim as its president, following the group’s three-day biennial national convention in Pasay City.

Lim was elected after three rounds of voting by 800 delegates who represented 170 Filipino Chinese business chambers and organizations across the country, effectively taking over outgoing president Dr. Cecilio Pedro who led the group from 2023 to 2025.

“The transition marks a new chapter for the 71-year-old federation, the Philippines’ largest coalition of Filipino Chinese entrepreneurs and philanthropists,” the group said in an emailed statement.

Prior to his appointment, Lim previously served as an executive vice president of FFCCCII. He is also president of the Philippine Stationaries Association, the Alliance of Paper Traders Association, and the Philippine School Pads and Notebooks Manufacturers Association.

Lim, a graduate of B.S. Chemical Engineering at the University of Santo Tomas, is also the first cousin of the late FFCCCII president Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong of the Sterling Paper Group. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/RF, GMA Integrated News
