Cebu Pacific to mount Cebu-Saigon flights, rolls out P1 promo fare

Cebu Pacific to mount Cebu-Saigon flights, rolls out P1 promo fare

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Thursday announced one-way promotional fares for as low as P1 for direct flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in Vietnam, which the company is set to launch in April.

In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said the promo fare will be available from Thursday, February 20, until Monday, February 24, with a travel period from April 7 to July 31, 2025.

This comes as the company is set to mount non-stop flights from Cebu and Ho Chi Minh on April 7 three times a week or every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

“As Vietnam continues to grow in popularity among Filipino travelers, launching a new gateway to the country via Ho Chi Minh City is an exciting step for Cebu Pacific,” president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao said.

“We look forward to offering travelers from Cebu the chance to explore a new destination more seamlessly, and to welcoming more international visitors to discover the Philippines,” he added.

Cebu Pacific last July announced plan to purchase over 150 aircraft from Airbus for $24 billion or P1.4 trillion, making the biggest aircraft order in Philippine aviation history.

The company earlier said it expected to close 2024 with 95 aircraft, which will boost its full-year 2024 seat capacity by 12% to 15% compared with 2023.
