Aivee Group to spend at least P80 million for branch expansion

The Aivee Group is set to invest at least P80 million for its expansion plans this year as it is set to open four new branches in Metro Manila, banking on the growing interest in beauty and wellness not only in the Philippines but in overseas markets.

According to Aivee Group president Dr. Aivee Teo, the company's four new clinics will have an investment of at least P20 million for the space, having at least 450 square meters.

“It really varies, because the difference between the Aivee Clinics is we don’t open small clinics. Our clinics are at least 450 square meters and above, so it’s a lot of investment in terms of rental space, in terms of machines, and our treatments are diverse so because of that it’s highly, I guess, capital wide,” she said.

“The most important thing is because we already have our other clinics, so at least we are aware of, for example, how it runs, how to run it. We also know what machines and technology to put in all of our clinics,” she told reporters on the sidelines of The Business Manual CEO Awards, where she was one of the awardees.

At present the Aivee Group has clinics in Filinvest Alabang, SM Megamall, Vertis North, and Burgos Circle and Burgos Park in Bonifacio Global City. It also has a branch in Singapore.

“In the Aivee Group, we try to grow organically. We don’t overplan. What we do is when we see that there’s a need, then we open because we also have to be very prudent in our expansion,” Teo said.

“It’s always good that you know and you’re aware of not over-expanding as well, as not to sacrifice the quality of service and to make sure that we’re ready as we expand and we grow,” she added.

Teo said she also wants to grow units of the business—this will entail opening three new branches of the pet clinics, and bringing her skincare business to new markets both local and overseas.

Moving forward, Teo said she is looking to have the company listed on the local bourse, but not in the immediate future as the company will remain focused on its expansion.

“I think every entrepreneur has that dream of listing but for now, we feel that we still have a long way to go. We still have a lot of dreams and plans for the Aivee Group, and so I think right now is not a good time,” she said.

“Right now it’s nice for us to continue to spread our brand and improve our services, professionalize our business, because we started this from scratch,” she added. — BM, GMA Integrated News
