Cebu Pacific now flies to Sapporo in Japan

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Thursday began operating flights from Manila to Sapporo, Japan.

Cebu Pacific said the direct flights between Manila and Sapporo are three times weekly—every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

The flight departs from Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 11:15 a.m. and arrives in Sapporo at 5:25 p.m. (local time).

From New Chitose International Airport, the flight takes off at 6:25 p.m. and lands in Manila at 11:20 p.m. (local time).

In a news release, Cebu Pacific said that the launch of the flight service made it the only local airline that offers direct flights to Sapporo and further solidified its position as the largest airline connecting the Philippines and Japan.

The Gokongwei-led airline said Sapporo is its fifth destination in Japan after Tokyo (Narita), Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
