PAL to offer daily flights to Busuanga from Clark
Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will introduce daily flights between Clark and Busuanga (Coron) on March 1, as the carrier seeks to boost its domestic network.
In an advisory, PAL said flights between the two destinations will be increased to daily from the current four flights a week. Flights from Clark will depart at 3:45 p.m. and arrive in Busuanga at 4:45 p.m., while return flights will leave Busuanga at 5:15 p.m. and arrive in Clark at 6:20 p.m.
This will bring the carrier’s flights to Busuanga to 42 a week, with three times daily between Manila and Busuanga and twice daily between Cebu and Busuanga.
PAL will operate the 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft for the route.
“Our upgrade to daily Clark-Busuanga flights will help make fares more affordable and travel more convenient for both foreign and domestic tourists, in time for the summer travel season,” PAL Express president Rabbi Vincent Ang said.
PAL Holdings Inc., which operates Philippine Airlines, reported a net income of $135 million or P8 billion in the first nine months of the year, as its revenues stood at $2.3 billion or P134 billion after carrying 11.7 million passengers during the period. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
