RE:BRAND INITIATIVE

Chosen MSME to receive branding service at 15th PHILSME Business Expo

Creative consultancy and branding strategy firm Design For Tomorrow, in partnership with the Philippine SME Business Expo (PHILSME), will grant a full premium branding service to a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) participating at the 15th edition of the business-to-business trade show.

The donation of a branding service to a chosen MSME is part of the expo's "re:brand Initiative" which will be unveiled at the end of the two-day event (Nov. 22-23, 2024) at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City.

At the sidelines of the 15th PHILSME Business Expo, Design For Tomorrow Founder and CEO Ric Gindap told GMA Integrated News that the creative consultancy firm's goal at the trade show is "to be able to help one chosen entrepreneur have a proper rebranding because normally people think that branding is very expensive but we're here to change that misperception."

"We want to help articulate the vision of a chosen entrepreneur who participated at the Philippine SME Business Expo," Gindap said.

Design For Tomorrow Strategy Director Priscilla Santos, for her part, highlighted the importance of branding strategies in helping an enterprise or business venture grow.

"I think the most important thing really is we call it brand recognition. So, very, very important that your brand stands out… that's the only way that people will really know about you and will be interested to actually avail or to even ask about your brand."

Over 120 sponsors and exhibitors are expected to showcase 180 business solutions across various sectors, such as finance, banking, advertising, healthcare, HR and recruitment, IT, payroll solutions, logistics, co-working spaces, franchising, telecommunications, AI solutions, tourism, business outsourcing solutions, web design services, and more.

Organized by Mediacom Solutions Inc., the event will also feature 30 keynotes and presentations by industry leaders and experts offering valuable insights and strategies to 9,000 business owners, aiming to help them boost their marketing, revenue, and business growth plans.

In choosing the MSME or entrepreneur who will be awarded with Design For Tomorrow's branding package, Gindap his firm is looking for a business with a compelling story.

"The most important thing we will be looking for is 'what is your story?' What is that story about your business that needs to be told to a lot of people," he said.

"We also want it to be a believer in the power of creativity and branding," he added.

Gindap said the creative consultancy firm will help a chosen MSME to develop branding strategies which would include logo designing or redesigning, packaging design, and "how it will be unrolled to the public."

"How we will launch or relaunch [their brand]," he said.
