BPI mobile app temporarily unavailable

The mobile application of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is temporarily unavailable as of Monday afternoon, but the Ayala-led lender said clients can continue to transact through other channels such as internet browsers and physical branches.

In an advisory posted on its social media page at 12:03 p.m. on Monday, November 11, BPI said it is currently working on restoring service. It did not elaborate.

The company said clients can still log in through internet browsers for bills payment and funds transfers, among others. They can also use the VYBE application to transfer funds and redeem rewards, while clients with other transactions can physically visit branches.

BPI posted a record-high P17.4-billion net income in the third quarter, bringing its year-to-date earnings up 24.3% year-on-year to P48 billion. Revenues for the first nine months grew 24.7% to P125.8 billion. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/KBK, GMA Integrated News
