Cebu Pacific: 90% of left-behind baggage recovered

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Wednesday evening said it has recovered nearly all of the left-behind luggage at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

“For those impacted by delays in recent days, we are happy to report that 90% of the previously left-behind bags have been recovered,” Cebu Pacific said in a statement.

It added that “normal” baggage handling operations at NAIA Terminal 3 have been “restored.”

The Gokongwei-led carrier earlier said the baggage handling issue has been going on since October 18.

On October 20, Cebu Pacific reported that the baggage handling issue affected 400 out of 65,000 passengers who flew on that date.

“Looking ahead, Cebu Pacific is optimistic about NNIC’s (New NAIA Infrastructure Corp.) ongoing commitment to enhancing airport infrastructure and making further improvements,” Cebu Pacific said.

“We believe these initiatives will significantly enhance the travel experience, ensuring smoother and more comfortable journeys for all passengers, it added.

The airline assured its customers that it remains “fully committed to delivering a seamless and meaningful travel experience.”  —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
