Around 4,000 Meralco customers without power due to Enteng
Around 4,000 customers of the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) are affected by the Tropical Storm Enteng.
In its storm bulletin update, as of 6 a.m. September 3, 2024, Meralco said the around 4,000 customers hit by service interruptions are mostly in parts of Cavite, Metro Manila, and Rizal.
The power distribution utility said over 2,000 of the affected customers are in flooded areas.
“With majority of the remaining customers in areas still affected by floods, we would like to ask for their patience and understanding as we have to follow protocols and prioritize their safety,” said Meralco vice president and head of Corporate Communications Joe Zaldarriaga.
“Rest assured that our crews and personnel are working round the clock to restore electricity service to all remaining affected customers at the soonest possible time,” said Zaldarriaga.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 was raised over two areas in Luzon as
Tropical Storm Enteng re-intensified while moving over the West Philippine Sea, according to state weather bureau PAGASA said its 11 am advisory. Over two areas in Luzon are also under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2.
Meanwhile, Meralco also posted advisories on power interruptions in several areas due to maintenance works from September 3 to 8, 2024.
