Cebu Pacific launches Manila-Chiang Mai route with P1 sale

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific announced Thursday the launch of a new flight route going to northern Thailand's Chiang Mai City with its popular P1 one-way base fare seat sale.

In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said it would start operating flights between Manila to Chiang Mai on Oct. 29, 2024.

Manila-Chiang Mai service will operate thrice weekly, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Chiang Mai-Manila flights, meanwhile, will also operate three times weekly, every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Cebu Pacific said the Manila-Chiang Mai flight service will be its fourth route in Thailand.

The Gokongwei-led airline currently flies from Manila and Cebu to Bangkok, with the option to fly to Suvarnabhumi Airport or Don Mueang International Airport which both service Bangkok.

"We share the anticipation of many Filipino travelers as we prepare to launch the only direct flights between Manila and Chiang Mai. This new route will provide our passengers the opportunity to explore Thailand beyond its urban attractions. Chiang Mai's natural heritage, ancient temples, and laid-back atmosphere promise a tranquil escape for every Juan," said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer.

To welcome passengers to its new service route, Cebu Pacific said travelers may book flights from Manila to Chiang Mai for as low as P1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges.

The booking period for the introductory seat sale promotion is from Aug. 1 to 6, 2024.

The travel period, meanwhile, is from October 29, 2024 to March 30, 2025.

The budget carrier currently offers flights to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
