Cebu Pacific, Air Asia announce full restoration of services after global IT outage


Cebu Pacific and Air Asia on Sunday announced they fully restored its systems following a global IT outage that affected airlines and businesses worldwide.

In an advisory issued 7:30 a.m., the Gokongwei-led airline said its technology provider, Navitaire, “has completed restoring all its services and its underlying servers to full capacity.”

“All systems are now operational, and we plan to operate our normal flight schedules, ”Cebu Pacific said.

Passengers with confirmed bookings are advised to continue monitoring the status of their flights via its website.

Ceby pacific said it is “grateful” to its IT and airport staff to resolve the situation and assist the affected passengers.

“We also appreciate the patience and understanding shown by our passengers during this challenging time. Thank you for your continued support,” Cebu Pacific said.

Meanhile, AirAsia announced that all of of its systems are back online during the weekend.

"We ask for patience among our guests, as we recover from multiple delays and cancellations as a result of the global IT outage (on Friday) that is beyond our control," the airline said in its advisory.
