Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila bids goodbye

Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila said goodbye on Sunday, a day before the luxury resort is set to cease operations 48 years after its opening.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page, Sofitel Manila thanked its patrons ahead of its closing on Monday, July 1, 2024.

“Where moments were made magnifique. Where memories last. Your smiles and stories have left an indelible mark on our hearts. We hope these memories stay with you as fondly as they will with us,” it said.

“Sofitel Manila bids you adieu. Merci beaucoup, and à bientôt in new adventures!” it added.

 

On Saturday, the hotel's buffet restaurant Spiral officially bid goodbye to its patrons, saying it "is set to embark on its final culinary journey tomorrow, June 30, 2024."

Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila opened in 1976, and has since accommodated heads of states, celebrities, and global corporations. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA Integrated News
