Cleanfuel: Dominic Roque was not given a gasoline station, rumors ‘misleading’ and ‘false’
Cleanfuel on Wednesday categorically denied online rumors that its brand ambassador Dominic Roque was gifted a gasoline station, as the company said such accusations are “misleading” and “false.”
In a statement, Cleanfuel backed a statement made earlier by Roque through his legal counsel, saying that he does not own a gasoline station under the brand.
“To answer the misleading reports and false information circulating over social media, we are categorically denying the allegation that Mr. Roque was given a Cleanfuel gasoline station,” the statement read.
“In his capacity as brand ambassador, Mr. Roque has worked and represented the brand professionally for the past six years. His contribution has been vital to reflect the company’s image and brand success,” it added.
Cleanfuel also clarified that it does not provide, nor does it extend franchises to anyone.
In its profile, Cleanfuel said it is a pioneer of using Auto liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as “cleaner and cheaper” alternative to gasoline. It also sells diesel and 91/95 octane premium fuels in its stations.
Cleanful's statement was made public after Roque — through his lawyers at Fernandez & Singson Law Offices — refuted claims of Cristy Fermin on her vlogs.
“Mr. Dominic Roque does not own a Cleanfuel gas station; in fact, all Cleanfuel gas stations are company-owned,” read the statement made by the actor's lawyers.
Atty. Jesus “Bong” Suntay, one of the partners that leads Cleanfuel, also earlier denied such rumors that he gifted a gasoline station to Roque, saying he initially found the claims funny and these were providing free advertisements for the firm.
Roque and his former fiancee actress Bea Alonzo earlier this month said they decided to call of their wedding, after television show host Boy Abunda said the couple separated.
