Maynilad announces up to 8-hour service interruptions in QC areas
Select customers of Maynilad Water Services Inc. are set to experience up to eight hours of service interruptions starting Monday, February 19, as the west zone concessionaire will undertake scheduled maintenance activities.
In an advisory, Maynilad said the pressure tests in Quezon City will validate supply flows in certain areas starting Monday, February 19, until Sunday, February 25.
Below is a list of the affected areas:
“These activities are part of the company’s continuous effort to improve water services in the West Zone,” the advisory read.
“Affected customers are encouraged to store enough water for the duration of the water service interruption. Maynilad has water tankers on standby, ready to deliver water to affected areas as needed,” it added.
Upon resumption of the water service, Maynilad said customers should let the water flow out for a few seconds until the water clears.
The company said last year that it targeted to provide 24/7 water supply with normal pressure to all its customers by 2027, or the end of the current regulation period.
Maynilad currently serves customers in the west zone, which covers the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon, Valenzuela. It also services certain areas in Cavite such as the cities of Bacoor, Cavite, and Imus; and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
