Angkas unveils plans for new user app

Ride-hailing firm Angkas on Monday vowed to revamp its app and address technical issues in order to provide better services to the public.

Angkas CEO George Royeca said the company hired technical expert Josef Puchinger, who has experienced prior work in the logistics and delivery app sector, to address glitches and enhance the app's performance,

Royeca further unveiled plans for a new Angkas app that is set for release next year as he vowed increased efficiency and income opportunities for partners.

"This upcoming app signifies our evolution as a Filipino company. We've grown significantly, and our aim is to achieve world-class status—a challenging endeavor. Think of the new app as the 'Angkas Ferrari'—a superior and refined experience," he said in a press release.

Royeca attributed the hiccups in the Angkas app to an outdated system, noting that they have ongoing efforts to optimize operations for both riders and passengers.

"While our app may resemble a well-optimized Honda Civic engine-wise, we're relentlessly fine-tuning it to ensure seamless bookings, especially during the demanding November-December period," he said.

Meanwhile, both Royeca and Puchinger affirmed their commitment to delivering an enhanced Angkas app experience, ensuring a more seamless platform that prioritizes the welfare of the biker community and an excellent customer experience.—Anna Felicia Bajo/AOL, GMA Integrated News
