Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices down Tuesday

Motorists will be greeted with lower pump prices of petroleum products this week, as firms on Monday announced a downward adjustment effective Tuesday.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Corp. said they will roll back prices per liter of gasoline by P0.45, diesel by P1.10, and kerosene by P1.05.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, for all the firms except for Caltex and Cleanfuel, which will both adjust prices at 12:01 a.m. the same day.

Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.45, while reducing diesel by P1.25 and kerosene by P1.20.

Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) indicate year-to-date net increases of P14.20 per liter for gasoline, P10.45 per liter for diesel, and P5.04 per liter for kerosene as of October 31, 2023. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
