BEXCS partners with EV operator for clean transport delivery service

Logistics startup Bexcs Logistics Solutions Inc. (BEXCS) has partnered with Clean Vehicle Solutions Limited (CLEVA) for the use of electric vehicles in its delivery services in the country.

In a statement, BEXCS said it inked a memorandum of understanding with CLEVA, a supplier and operator of electric vehicles.

The latter will support the logistics firm’s efforts in developing last-mile delivery services in the Philippines and other regions.

The collaboration is expected to enhance BEXCS’ logistics solutions and contribute to sustainable transportation practices, the logistics company said.

As part of the agreement, BEXCS said it is seeking an initial order of 1,250 EVs in the Philippines, with delivery expected to begin in the last quarter of this year.

CLEVA will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the EVs, as well as providing charging services.

The charging ports will be based in BEXCS branches, ensuring convenient access to charging infrastructure.

Marjorey Rubio, founder of BEXCS, said the partnership also includes international mobility, with plans to expand its operations to China in November.

"The primary goal of this partnership is to promote sustainability and green energy for a better economy," said Rubio.

Through the partnership, CLEVA and BEXCS aim to promote the widespread use of e-trikes as a means of delivery, even on the outskirts of cities.

BEXCS, formerly Bulacan Express Courier Services, was established in 2019. The company caters to online sellers and suppliers.

The logistics firm is embarking on an international expansion initiative, starting with Asia, after it established a new headquarters in Hong Kong under the BEXCS International brand. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
