AirAsia launches ‘P1SO’ sale

Budget carrier AirAsia launches ‘P1SO’ sale

Budget carrier AirAsia Philippines is offering another round of promo base fares as low as P1 for both domestic and international flights.

For the booking period from August 18 to 27, 2023, travelers can purchase ‘P1SO Sale’ flights for travels from February 19, 2024 to June 19, 2025.

“[G]uests can grab a chance to fly to popular destinations such as Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Caticlan, Roxas City, and many others, including international destinations Osaka and Seoul,” AirAsia Philippines said.

The Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) has raised the fuel surcharge level next to Level 6 from Level 4, which could make fares higher for the traveling public.

AirAsia Philippines said its promo fares are expected to “cushion the effect of the CAB’s recent advisory on the fuel surcharge Level 6 increase.”

Under Level 6, the fuel surcharge for domestic passenger flights ranges from P185 to P665 depending on the distance, while for international passenger flights originating from the Philippines, the fuel surcharge ranges from P610.37 to P4,538.40.

“AirAsia Philippines will adhere to the Civil Aeronautics Board’s advisory on fuel surcharges. However, as a pioneer in low-cost air travel with a well-established domestic and international network, we will continue to strengthen our commitment to offering our guests the best value, as well as the safest and fastest way of connecting to their loved ones. We also invite our guests to avail of ongoing promos and book their flights early, especially for future travels,” said AirAsia Communications and Public Affairs head Steve Dailisan. —Ted Cordero/KBK, GMA Integrated News
