PAGCOR denies plagiarizing logo, starts probe of ‘fake news’


The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. has denied that it plagiarized the logo of a website called "Tripper."

In a statement, PAGCOR said it was investigating the source of what it called a "malicious and baseless campaign."

"At the outset, the website is lacking showing of credibility and in fact, bears resemblance to a phishing site," PAGCOR said.

PAGCOR said it had consistently upheld the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability.

"The allegation made against PAGCOR is entirely false and driven by malicious intent," PAGCOR said.
