Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices up Tuesday

Motorists will again have to pay more for petroleum products starting Tuesday, as oil firms have set another hike following the rollback they implemented on the first week of the month.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.20, diesel by P1.05, and kerosene by P1.20.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, PTT Philippines Corp. will implement the same adjustments, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 for all the firms except for Caltex, which will adjust prices at 12:01 a.m. and Cleanfuel at 4:01 p.m. on the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

The latest adjustments are slightly lower than the forecast of the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Oil Industry Management Bureau, which took into consideration the first four trading days of the previous week.

Firms last week hiked prices per liter by P1.20 for gasoline, diesel by P1.40, and kerosene by P0.30.

Latest data from the DOE indicate a year-to-date net increase of P6.35 per liter for gasoline, and net decreases of P4.05 per liter for diesel, and P6.35 per liter for kerosene as of June 20, 2023. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/KBK, GMA Integrated News
