31,000 Manila Water customers to experience service interruptions due to emergency leak repairs

Some 31,000 household customers of Manila Water Company Inc. are set to experience water service interruptions on Wednesday, as the concessionaire undertakes emergency leak repairs in Manila.

In an advisory released Wednesday, Manila Water said the interruptions will cover households in three barangays in Mandaluyong, 93 barangays in Manila, and 6 barangays in Makati from April 12, 2023, until 12 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023.

Manila Water said tankers have been deployed to affected areas to augment water supplies while the repair activities are being completed.

“After service is restored, Manila Water is advising its customers to allow a few minutes for flushing before using the water from their taps as discoloration may occur,” it said.

“We also advise the residents to collect the flushed water for cleaning purposes and flushing the toilets,” it added. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
