Gasoline prices up; diesel and kerosene down Tuesday
Pump prices of gasoline will be hiked by over P1 per liter, while those of diesel and kerosene will be reduced for the third straight week on Tuesday.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Corp. said they will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P1.40, while cutting those of diesel by P0.50, and kerosene by P0.35.
Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will implement the adjustments at 4:01 p.m. and Caltex at 12:01 a.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
Oil firms last week rolled back prices per liter of gasoline by P0.25, diesel by P0.60, and kerosene by P0.25.
Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) indicate that the year-to-date adjustment stood at a net increase of P15.85 per liter for gasoline, P36.80 per liter for diesel, and P28.95 per liter for kerosene as of November 1, 2022.—AOL/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
