Shell Energy inks power supply deals with Lucio Tan firms
Shell Energy Philippines Inc. (SEPH) on Friday said it entered into partnerships with various firms within the Lucio Tan Group of Companies.
In a statement, SEPH said it will supply electricity to power the operations of Tan’s PMFTC Inc., Asia Brewery Inc (ABI), and Lufthansa Technik Philippines with renewable energy.
SEPH is a retail electricity supplier to industrial and commercial customers in the Philippines.
“Establishing strategic partnerships with the Lucio Tan Group of Companies is an opportunity for both our organizations to be on the frontline in building up the renewable power business on a national and global scale,” said SEPH general manager and president Bernd Krukenberg.
“Energy is really a big field, and at Shell, we are driven to serve our public by being at the forefront of the energy transition. We're doing this around the world, and we're extremely happy that we are also able to do so in the Philippines,” added Krukenberg.
SEPH said it will supply 15 megawatts of renewable energy to ABI’s manufacturing facilities in Luzon.
Likewise, the energy company said it will provide renewable energy to PMFTC’s Batangas and Marikina plants.
For Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP), SEPH said it will power LTP’s existing facility in Villamor Air Base.
The energy company added that other companies in the Lucio Tan Group, namely Philippine Airlines, Philippine National Bank, and Eton Properties Philippines Inc. are also set to join SEPH's list of renewable energy partners.—AOL, GMA News
