Metrobank allows bank transfers via Pera Hub

Ty family’s Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co. (Metrobank) said Tuesday it is expanding its partnership with remittance firm Pera Hub.

With the expanded partnership, the bank said individuals can now send or deposit money to Metrobank account holders through Pera Hub’s branches.

Metrobank said individuals who need to send cash to Metrobank account holders need to:

  • head to the nearest Pera Hub branch;
  • accomplish Pera Hub’s remittance form; and
  • show one valid ID to the Pera Hub agent.

The bank said senders can remit P100 up to P25,000, with a fee of P100 per transaction.

Recipients can withdraw the money they received through Pera Hub branches in any Metrobank automated teller machine (ATMs) or over-the-counter for passbook account holders.

“This added service with our partner, Pera Hub, shows that Metrobank remains committed to our customers in improving our services and providing them with more accessible and convenient channels to conduct their financial transactions with us,” said Richard So, Metrobank executive vice president and retail banking sector head. —Ted Cordero/KG, GMA News
