Gasoline, diesel, kerosene rollback set Tuesday
Oil firms are set to slice pump prices of petroleum products this week, marking the sixth rollback so far this year.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will reduce prices per liter of gasoline by P0.40, diesel by P3.10, and kerosene by P2.10.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel, which will adjust prices at 8:01 a.m., and Caltex at 12:01 a.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements as of posting time.
Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) show that year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P22.00 per liter for gasoline, P34.50 per liter for diesel, and P29.75 per liter for kerosene as of May 10, 2022. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/KBK, GMA News
